Let me just preface this with "This is not your soccer mom's craft blog." I cuss like a sailor and am very opinionated, and I intend on sharing those opinions on here. Now, don't let that discourage you because I am sure there will be all sorts of really swell projects and snafus on here to brighten your day!
(side note: I just googled snafu and discovered that it's an acronym for the military slang meaning Situation Normal: All fucked up. Fucking brilliant!)
All that said, lets begin with me. I'm 26 and a total project/craft junkie. I just moved in with my matriarchal family who live in a tiny town in northern Mississippi. I moved from LA, but am originally from Memphis, TN. (not as big as LA, but still a big city none the less.) I am a very liberal feminist stuck in an "old fashioned" realm these days... thus I have made zero friends here so far.
I live with my grandmother, mother, and 13 year old sister. THIS IS VERY HARD. But... the rent is free and I've got a lot of time on my hands to work on my projects, so for now, it's worth it.
(side note: my family thinks I am a total BITCH about 85% of the time. I tend to tell it like I see it and I just have trouble acclimating to "their way of life"... more on that later.)
Currently I am dabbling in learning how to knit, sew clothes, and working on my wood cutting and painting skills. I have been making hair bows and selling them at the "daycare" my mom works at for the moment, but I am actively getting ready to get back into the festival/flea market scene. There is definitely a different demographic here than what I would normally try to produce for, but I will adjust...
So here we go... This bitch is back in action.
(Side note: I do Maleficent hair when I'm feeling rather perturbed. Such was the case when I started to write this post and ended up in WW3 with my grandmother.)
